PSYC30019 Lab Manual

Mar 13,23

Question:

The first assignment is a 1,000-word Discussion section based on the findings from a model Results Section. The aim of the assessment exercise is to practice writing a discussion section of a lab report, taking into account the observed patterns of findings, how the findings support and/or extend previous research, and making suggestions for future research.
The Introduction, Method, and Results sections of the lab report are available below and also on the LMS under “Lab Classes”. The theory and methodology surrounding this research will be discussed in labs 1 and 2 (in weeks 3 and 4).
Your lab report should be submitted in week 5 of semester, on the day of your lab class, before 8am. Your tutor will mark the Discussion and provide you with feedback. This part of the assessment is worth 1/3 of your semester mark for this subject.

Introduction

A successful lab report always needs to be clear about the achievements. The actual reason to write a lab report is to build strong communication that can be found within the work; also it has to help the reader so that it can be easily understood. The process of using a record or establishing the findings also have to be included in the report. The report should contain methods so that they can reproduce the validations in some stages. The writing needs to be recorded in such a way that one can read it independently or authors without any input.

Discussion

Theory on methods and materials

The section on materials and the methods explain how the experiment can be carried out. However to relate to the experiment the report should provide sufficient information to the reader. Performing on an experiment with the section of materials and methods Structure provides the detailed explanation of what one did and whatnot. Apart from this some questions while writing on this in a lab report always have to remember some points like- what kind of materials and in which way is used and many more.

The report completely needs to be very accurate and at the same time, it has to be very simple. Sometimes the reader can directly work with the standard procedure and also can go with a simple lab manual. The explanation of theoretical or experimental work provides its framework. It gets the ultimate understanding about the product that is in the laboratory treated by some test or some suggested with some report. Usually, a theory can implement the existing results which are already experimental and can predict a new one. It can be called a brief statement in lab reports. It can measure the most important and high equations. Surprisingly the theoretical results can be changed with one’s experimental setup.

Experimental procedure

The experiment of equipment, chemicals and the description that goes in every step can be used as a method. A description must be done with complete sentences. Readers can relate to the topic if they find an example in every step. A complete example is safety precautions or the safest procedures which are very needful for this experiment (Nowak & Maj, 2018). The data notebook recordings in the laboratory can be a perfect result of the experiment. One should never try to record any experimental data in the laboratory manuals. The experimental procedure’s main work is to observe the changes and record that so that any sudden bursts or any other information during the experiment cannot be interpreted.

The data generated can also be included in the above section. However, at the observation time, no recorded points can be awarded outside of the laboratory. The discussion of the section experimental procedure defined another important issue and that is to attempt the errors on a report and make it correct for the listeners (Young, 2019). A limited instrument and precision data may be included in that error. The result of such an experiment can be ignored or possibly should be ranked.

Practical report structure on lab discussion method

The main purpose of the discussion method is to explain the interpretation of existing theory results in such context and practical knowledge. This section can be explained with some general points or can be analysed with some practical references.

The following practical points are quite relevant like- the aim of results, an ultimate explanation for the product experiment and also observing its results, not only by observing but also comparing and noting down and contrasting the results to get the proper research, with the experimental and high authorised technique Identify the problems and gave a suggestion to improve it, to establish the future research significance areas and many more practical structures. A setup of a standard lab discussion method can create or ensure the records or the documents in a high standard way (Coppock & McClellan, 2019).

A practical structure can technically divide content into two pieces- manageable pieces and logical information. Instead of this, any sections can be divided into many subsections to make sense for the readers. After a practical observation, the lab reports can be broken anytime once the discussion explains something needs to be added. The degrees and other writings should be documented appropriately in the section where the size of every document will be adjustable. The following structure explains that every document has some dedicated references.

Discussion result

Lab reports results section obtained the discussion and contains the impartial experiment of the results. This is the annual observation of the typical presentation of how it is created (Essayad & Aubertin, 2021). The interpretation results may find raw data with proper experiments (Decca, 2019). The main focus is to convert all raw data into a large number of descriptions by using this method that can be shown to have good results. However, a large number of databases and huge calculations can never be shown in the numerous lab results section.

The references are included in it. The lab discussion results on the reference sources explain that the report needs to be an accurate text and it should contain all information that needs to be supplied. The data which is presented in this results section demonstrate the experiment of any objective, as an example when the optimization level observes and experiments with some consumption of fuel in the car which is used by petrol with the ultimate travel speed. Only then the results section can be able to show the kilometre path based on per litter and can also show the meters as per the second. Basically, the result section is something where one can truly spend as the result can never be wrong.

Conclusion

The conclusion is a little review of the work conduction. It is a section where one can summarise the discussion sections. When one is assigning a lab report the person should maintain some points so that it can be an understanding and helpful topic for the reader. Adding a conclusion paragraph is very important, to sum up, the result and at the very end, it can make a scene for the readers too with the conclusion part. Apart from this the whole information, the data structure, methods and theories are summarised in this last part. A well and appropriately written not only can help the reader but also the extract of all important points can implement the lab report too.
