Answer:
Introduction
This report will answer some questions related to Management Information System (MIS) infrastructure. The MIS infrastructure is the infrastructure of technology and organization, including inter-related employees in which its alignment can be seen between them. The MIS infrastructure helps the organizations to create data and distribute them with specific processes. With the help of MIS infrastructure, the improvement of productivity, growth, and optimization of business operations are conducted effectively and efficiently.
- MIS Infrastructure and its three Primary Types and three Areas of an information MIS infrastructure:
The MIS infrastructure is the plans of a company in which it can use to create, install, and use the data or information on the priority basis. A company can also distribute data with processes of the information effectively in MIS infrastructure. Further, the three primary types of MIS infrastructure can be determined as information infrastructure, sustainable infrastructure, and agile information structure (Hustad & Olsen, 2021). At the same time, the information MIS infrastructure is associated with maintaining and securing important information using different ways to support day-to-day business operations of the company.
Now, the three areas associated with an information MIS infrastructure can be identified as backup and recovery, disaster recovery plan, and the business continuity plan. These three areas of information MIS infrastructure help the company to conduct business operations in sustainable ways without interruption in day-to-day activities. Therefore, it is also beneficial to the company to secure its data and use them to run the organization effectively.
- Agile MIS Infrastructure, Characteristics, Benefits and Effects:
An agile MIS infrastructure is important part of an organization in which various teams are connected to each other and make effective network in order to share data and resources to each other. An agile MIS infrastructure that helps the each team members to share information is possible because of hardware systems, software and the use of telecommunication equipments, such as Smart phones, Telephones, etc. Now, the characteristics of an agile MIS infrastructure that helps to share data between various teams are determined as accessibility and availability that helps to provide data easily 24×7 because of internet support to continue business operations (Hustad & Olsen, 2021).
The characteristics of an agile MIS infrastructure can also be seen as portability, maintainability, and reliability on the network system. The scalability and usability of an agile MIS infrastructure are also some essential characteristics helpful in business operations. On the other side, the benefits of an agile MIS infrastructure are the streamline processes of the work and optimization of the business operations effectively. It also enhances the efficiency in resource allocation and increase the overall productivity of the company (Hustad & Olsen, 2021). Further, the effects of an agile MIS infrastructure are associated with flexibility in the working system and easy adaptability to change the organizational conditions.
- Ways MIS Impact the Environment and other Conditions:
The MIS impact the business environment in different ways in which the performance and ecosystems of the company are improved effectively. MIS also impact the environment through reducing physical activity of the employees and energy inputs in the case of production, disposable and recycling of used products. There are wider application of MIS that are used in other equipment and systems of the company. In order to control business functions effectively, MIS is utilized through information generation and communication (Hustad & Olsen, 2021). The MIS impact the environment of the organization through identifying problems and helping to make decisions to address the recognized problems. At this stage, MIS impacts on the environment can be seen as positive and helpful to increase the growth of the company. It is also helpful to assist the organization to reduce cost of market participation and increasing revenue while shrinking in size of workforce.
- Three Components of a Sustainable MIS Infrastructure, Benefits and Reasons a Company want a Sustainable MIS Infrastructure:
The sustainable MIS infrastructure is defined as getting more benefits in the business operations of a company for a long time because of the components of MIS infrastructure. At this stage, the three components of a sustainable MIS infrastructure are the grid computing, cloud computing and virtualized computing. These three components of sustainable MIS infrastructures provide benefits to the company as completion of all tasks instead of location of a company branch at remote area (Schuff & Doyle, 2020). The benefits of a sustainable MIS infrastructure can also be seen as using all data while traveling to other location for business affairs.
In this scenario, a company would want a sustainable MIS infrastructure because of accessibility and portability of data in any situations. A company would also want a sustainable MIS Infrastructure because of reducing costs in business operations, improvement of productivity, and optimization of business operations in the market.
- Technical Architecture and Compare it with Software Architecture, its Relation, and Designing of Better Systems:
Technical architecture as a structure process is related to designing computer systems in which the development of a technical blueprint is required on the priority basis. In this technical architecture as a structured process, the arrangement of the systems and its interaction are conducted effectively. All technical components are interdependence that helps to meet all requirements of the system (Schuff & Doyle, 2020). The comparison of technical architecture as a structure process with software architecture is very different. Software architecture has capability to hide the implementation details, but technical architecture is open system that can be seen associated with its connection.
However, both technical architecture and software architecture are related to each other in which the software is installed in the technical systems to process the work related to the organizations. Technical architecture is a backbone of the system, but software architecture provides platforms to work on that effectively. Further, there are some ways that allow us to design better systems in the organization. A clear understanding of the requirements of the company, dividing architecture, and making a prototype can help to design better systems (Schuff & Doyle, 2020). The quantification of non-functional requirements and visualization of designs are also some important ways that allow us to design better systems in the organization.
- Ways does Information Technology (IT) Architecture Impact and Influence Company Operations:
The information technology architecture has great impact and influence on company operations through increasing efficiency in working process and increasing workflow considerably in the organization. The Information Technology (IT) architecture also impact and influence the company operations by developing automated processes for businesses on the regular basis. Therefore, the use of Information Technology (IT) architecture is vital to a company in making its business operations easy and effective. However, it increases the cost of business operations of the company (Hassan, 2014). For example, the implementation of cloud software needs much information technology to connect the system with internet and use it in the business connecting each employee at any time.
Conclusion:
After discussion of the MIS infrastructure, it can be stated that it is the infrastructure of technology and organization, including inter-related employees in which its alignment can be seen between them. The MIS infrastructure is the plans of a company in which it can use to create, install, and use the data or information on the priority basis. An agile MIS infrastructure is important part of an organization in which various teams are connected to each other and make effective network in order to share data and resources to each other. The MIS impact the business environment in different ways in which the performance and ecosystems of the company are improved effectively. Technical architecture as a structure process is related to designing computer systems in which the development of a technical blueprint is required on the priority basis. The information technology architecture has great impact and influence on company operations through increasing efficiency in working process and increasing workflow considerably in the organization.
