Abstract

In this following report, a business proposal for enterprise mobile application development has been discussed. This mobile application will consist of various features and advanced cyber security facilities. In this following report, a background on the topic that has been proposed has been discussed. A list of issues and problems have been identified that might come along the way of the development of the application. Although a list of effective solutions has also been highlighted in this report. An analysis of the expenses regarding this proposal has been made. The role of the IT strategies and their alignment within the organisation has also been explained. The benefits or the facilities that this application will offer to the customers have been explained under the value proportion section. Lastly, the functions of the project management team and then having the project will be managed and supervised have also been discussed in the report. The application that will be developed should be advanced and effective cyber security must be developed. With the help of this report, the enterprise will be able to identify the potential problems and recommended solutions to those problems. This report has aimed to successfully fulfil the proposal and a high-quality enterprise application will be developed.

Introduction

In a business organisation there often takes place a lot of changes in the organisational structure, processes of the business, competencies and employee’s skills and availability. This report is a proposal for enterprise mobile application development. This proposal will help the organisation in effectively developing an enterprise application. To accomplish this proposal, there is a list of competencies that the organisation will have to emphasize. All these competencies have been discussed in the following report. The requirement for an online application is much required as the world is digitalising at a rapid pace.

An enterprise mobile application is something that is usually used to internally address a business and can fulfil its need. However, there is no need to understand how much the enterprise mobile application helps a business to reach all-new levels for development. However, to evolve the ideas for the success of a business app the mobile development process undoubtedly works as a great strategy. Enterprise apps are something that can lead to all sorts of benefits and build the intensity of the business (Abd-Alhameed, Elfergani & Rodriguez, 2020).

Here are some benefits that can prove how much this is helpful as a business. Mobile apps for business can provide the ultimate personalised experience. As an example, by using geolocation technology one can schedule the notifications and also the customer will also receive a notification once they will be close to that business. The developers of Enterprise mobile apps also can develop various features within payment that can be dependent on business requirements as well as business goals. On the other hand, creating the enterprise mobile app in offline mode can stand out as the loyalty and increase customers’ truth. The management and the data processing can be much more effective by the developer including the verifications, information analysis and many more.

Proposed solution

The proposal is to develop an enterprise mobile application. Developing the application will consist of a set of requirements that has to be fulfilled to meet all the criteria. Some potential issues and problems might also arise that need to be addressed to effectively develop the application.

Cyber security: One of the most common problems that these proposals on developing mobile applications will face is in cyber security (Bubukayr & Almaiah, 2021). The hackers and hacking applications are much more advanced and updated hence, the cyber security system should be of high quality so that the application cannot be easily hacked or cracked into.

Application development: There are a lot of issues that arise while developing an online application. The transaction page has the most issues in mobile applications. Hence, It experts should be required to develop the back-end transaction process effectively.

Cost analysis

Application development cost: Developing a mobile application requires an amount of money that needs to be invested. This money will be used to create an effective interface and will also be utilised in making the application attractive and advanced.

Cost of recruiting IT experts: Developing an application is not an easy task and not everyone can develop an application. For this, the organisation will have to hire IT experts who are experts in coding (Papageorgiou et al., 2018). Hiring IT experts will require an amount of money to be invested.

Cyber security cost: Installing a cyber-security system at times is very costly especially if the cyber security system is advanced and of high quality. Hence, in the development process, an amount of money has to be invested in installing an effective cyber security system.

Strategic alignment within the organisation’s business and IT strategies

Strategic alignment and IT structure both are linked with the company’s business. These are the resources to adopt or approve the business environment and the framework. However, for the internal and external various elements, strategic alignment works as a prudent arrangement for the organisation. It can be called a dynamic process. Strategic alignment can be shifted at any time as it’s made only with organisation. Strategically aligned organisations are not confused about the priorities, more conflicts, effective decisions, and this may leave the employees disappointed and can also unmotivated them.

Strategic alignment is a wise business strategy. It helps to improve the organisation’s profitability, effectiveness and as well as efficiency too. The organisation and strategy constantly remind the employees about the purpose, the vision, and the values of the organization. It will help to internalise the importance and can keep them on track. The strategy takes the company’s goals overall to break down the negativity and create the benchmarks based on the employee’s plan and helps to execute the work. The actions of a strategically aligned and IT structure entail outlining steps to achieving the goals. With the clear tangible set goals and with the importance the daily tasks can be specified.

Value proposition and other benefits

It is very important to effectively target the buyers or the customers who are more likely to engage with the business. Hence, the application should be developed keeping in mind the customers that the company wants to attract. The mobile application that will be developed will target customers who are looking for an effective cyber security solution or solution to their online money transaction problems. The customers will benefit from effective customer service and all the advanced features that the applications will consist of.

Project management control

An IT expert will be appointed to oversee the project, he will notify the progress report to manager of the project (Müller, Drouin & Sankaran, 2019). The project will stand managed by the IT expert and the manager of the business. The progress report of the project will be updated by the team to the supervisor and the manager regularly.

Conclusion

It can hence be concluded that developing a mobile application is a very tough job and a lot of potential problems and issues might come along the way. But with a strategic solution, these problems can be addressed. The proposal needs to be supervised and monitored regularly so faults can be detected and mended faster. The role of IT experts will serve as an effective tool in the development process of the application.
