Introduction

Design thinking is the method through which the needs of the customers and their problems are identified and prioritized. Through this concept, it is possible to observe people with empathy. This thinking process also provides an interactive process of communication through which it is possible to interact with the customers. A handy approach also can get through this thinking process through which innovative solutions are adopted. Tim Brown discovered this term design thinking which helps the corporate sectors to improve their ability in extreme situations.

Discussion

Concept of design thinking

The main parts of this process are defining the problem, empathizing, prototyping, ideating, and testing and through these steps, this thinking process helps the corporate sectors. This thinking process helps to build an innovative culture inside the organization. This process states that creativity is lying inside every person and ideas can come from everywhere. It is a novel approach that is related to problem-solving and also attracts considerable interest which also helps to improve the practitioners (Micheli et al., 2019). Implementing this thinking process in organizations also helps to improve the economical background of the particular organization and also helps them to deal with different challenges (Dunne, 2018).

This thinking process helps to understand the different perspectives and also helps to develop critical thinking which leads to realistic actions inside the organization (Patrício, Moreira & Zurlo, 2020). It develops the capacity of the people and also helps them to achieve a certain mindset which also helps them to work hard in their particular field.

Statement of Diethelm

According to a statement of Diethelm which was discovered in 2012 the design thinking process helps to improve the ability through which it is possible to gain the attention to develop the business process. This is the embodied process through which different experiences can be explored (Diethelm, 2019). It is the wave function that also helps to engage with the social interaction which develops the business process. It is the outcome of the functions of the mind through which the transformations are possible (Diethelm, 2019). This thinking process also gives new direction to the leaders of the corporate sectors which helps them to improve the organizational activities (Sarwar & Fraser, 2019). The application of creativity is the unique component that develops the activities of the corporate sectors. Through this thinking process, the corporate sectors also get help to gain success.

Critical discussion with examples

This design thinking process is effective in the business sectors but there are some controversial aspects of this process and this process sometimes creates some obstacles. In this section of this article, the controversial effects are critically discussed. The most crucial part of this process is the testing of the users. According to Diethelm, (2019), it is stated by some designers that the intangibility concept is over-simplistic of this thinking process. It is the practice through which the leaders get the idea about the implementations of the solutions. The customer’s problems can be shortened through this thinking process and this is one example. The other controversial aspect of this process is that some say that this process is human-centered and also the process comes from various designers. An example of this process is that through this thinking process the business leaders are able to apply the technologies in their activities.

Design thinking is the process that explores the problem according to the user’s perspective. Contrary to the above fact, Dunne, (2018), has stated that this process educates to emphasize the designs for the customers but sometimes it is not possible for the commercial teams. This design thinking process helps the leaders to track the actual paths and also engages the people with the business which is an example of it. Feasible technology application and viable economy are important examples of designing thinking processes. This simple method helps to display the bigger picture of the business activities which helps to develop the structure and also creates diversity inside the organization.

Importance and effectiveness in business

The designing thinking process educates the business leaders to upgrade the thought process like exactly a designer which helps to transform the culture of the organizations. This process also improves the strategies and also improves the products and the services of the organizations. It educates the business leaders to understand the preferences of the customers and also brings the benefits from the perspectives of the customers and also implements the technology which improves the actions.

This thinking process helps the leaders of the corporate sectors to handle the problems and the challenges and also suggests possible solutions which help to recover the problems. The human rule of this thinking process helps to identify the problems and the requirements of the customers which helps the business leaders to understand their preferences. Through this rule, the leaders are able to satisfy the customers which are important for the improvement of the organization. The ambiguity rule of this thinking process helps to explore the knowledge among the business leaders.

The redesign rule of this thinking process also helps the leaders to implement the technology in the workplace. The tangibility rule improves the interaction process. Through this, the communication process develops and the relationship between customers and the organization gets strong. The design thinking process always improves the strategies and the models of the business projects which is also effective for the business improvement and also helps to redesign the methods after getting data from the customer’s feedback. The limitations are also able to be understood through this thinking process which is effective for the business.

Conclusion

After studying the entire chapter, it can be concluded that this process helps the business leaders to develop them with innovative ideas and also helps them to develop in their business process. This process also educates the leaders about the complexity of different surroundings. Obstacles and the problem in the business activities can be identified through this design thinking process which helps the leaders to identify the possible solutions which also helps them to improve the activities. The design thinking process upgrades the economical background of the organization. This process helps people to put innovative ideas in the workplace which are effective for the business.
